Working with Suggestions #

Suggestions can be addressed in 3 ways: edited in place, swapped with an alternative, or dismissed.

Evolved Studio does not yet automatically update the inclusion score or suggestion count after suggestions have been addressed or dismissed. Click “Analyze” to update the document’s inclusion score.

Editing in Place #

Any suggestion can be edited in place #

1. Click the highlighted text

2. Edit the text, replacing it with a new word or phrase. The text should un-highlight.

3. The explanation panel should show the category with that suggestion checked off.

Swapping with an Alternative #

Most suggestions also include a handful of alternatives that may increase the neutrality or inclusiveness of the document. To use a suggestion:

1. Click the highlighted text

2. If the suggestion has alternatives, they will be displayed as gray buttons in the upper right panel

3. Click any alternative in the upper right panel. The text will be unhighlighted and replaced automatically in the editor.

4. If you click the category button for that suggestion, you should see that suggestion is now checked off.
