Suggestions #

Every highlight in the editor represents a suggestion. Highlighted suggestions are categorized into one of 3 categories: Exclusions, Gender Influencers, or Language Accessibility Improvements.

• Exclusions: These are words and phrases that have worked their way into common use but originate in racism, cultural appropriation, able-ism, misogyny, and histories that may not reflect the values of the author. Some suggestions are not directly rooted in their associated movements, but may still evoke or are tied to them.

• Gender Influencers: These are words and phrases that are estimated to have some statistical influence on the appeal by gender of posting.

• Language Accessibility Improvements: These are words and phrases that likely increase the complexity of your document, making it less appealing or inclusive of individuals with reading disabilities or other circumstances that may influence reading speed and ability.
