Emotions

Emotions #

Evolved displays an estimate of the emotional makeup of the writing. It displays the relative weight of 4 emotions:

  • Joy
  • Sadness
  • Fear
  • Anger

Obviously, emotions are far more complex than just these four categories. Additionally, there is content that carries no discernible emotional connotation. However, this indicator can be useful as a “red flag” check. If your document contains a surprising amount of an undesirable emotion, consider taking a second pass.

Why did it say that?

Sentiment analysis is performed by an Artificial Intelligence trained on billions of samples, and the mechanisms often use a variety of mathematical and statistical models. As a result, it is difficult, if not impossible, to point out exactly “why” it generated a specific value. Accordingly, it’s recommended (as with all Evolved Inclusion suggestions) that you make your word the “final word.”
