How Reading Grade Level is Calculated #

Evolved Studio calculates a reading grade for your job posting using an optimized version of the Automated Readability Index (ARI). ARI is one of a handful of widely adopted formulas used to derive a statistical estimate of the readability of a document.

ARI is derived using a combination of word difficulty and sentence difficulty. Studies testing the effectiveness of various readability statistics found ARI to be among the most consistent and effective.
