Updating Permissions

Updating Permissions #

If you are the owner or have “Editor” permission, you can change or remove another user’s permission on a document or folder. Changes to permissions on a folder will cascade to documents and folders it contains.

Updating permission on a folder will cascade to documents and folders it contains, but will not override explicit permissions. If you remove permission on a shared folder and the user has an explicit permission on a document or folder inside it, the user will still have the explicit permission. See explicit versus inherited permissions for more detail.
